project: OLD SKOOL

today, i initiated project OLD SKOOL with kaiwen.. haha..

woke up at 8 today for school.. bleargh.. monday blues.. anyway, got to school abit late and walked into netfund lab to realise that today was the graded lab! omg.. and the best part is that i brought the wrong netfund book.. so, took mark's lab notes, went back down to photocopy them and back up again for the lab..

school was alright from then on.. went to meet kaiwen and chilled for lunch at short circuit followed by teh at mensa.. bought yawen her chicken burger and met her at cyber center.. kaiwen and james were sitting by their own trying to re-flash james's PSP to a better firmware.. i was just chilling with the rest in the room..

after school, had lunch at mensa with kaiwen and yawen before me and kaiwen headed back to my house to get started on project: OLD SKOOL.. we got straight to it after we've put down our stuff.. got out my 10 year old Haro, went to splash it with water, and pumped it up with air.. we then took some sand paper and sanded away a good deal of rust on the handle bars.. then went out to take it for a spin.. it really surprised me as it has not been used for about 6 years already.. the chain was abit rusty and that made paddling slightly harder..

we went over to the nearby bike shop to get some stuff done to it.. spent 30 bucks on new handles, seat and stands.. also got the front wheel aligned and chain oiled.. we then went over to a hardware shop to get a can of matte black spray paint.. went back home to spray the wheel spokes black.. the seat bar and the chain gear thingy also got a matte black coat.. im looking for some sort of polish to get my shimmering green shimmering again.. and some autosol for the chrome..

we also removed lots of redundant stuff on the bike.. like my old lights, bell and front brakes.. after the paint has dried, im gonna give it another whril and keep you guys updated!
