Monday Blues (long post warning)

its monday again and its back to school/work for most of us.. so off i went to school and had my engine fundamental lab 1st thing in the morning.. the lab was relatively easy for me and most of the people around me ended up copying my work instead of playing with their bread board like they were supposed to.. after the lab i persuaded ye hui to attend maths lec and good thing that i did becos the rapper took our attendence today.. haha.. skipped siva's lec though.. =\

i had the same bowl of noodles 2X today.. (bak chor mee, lao shu fen dry with plenty of chilli) and the guys were like.. wa.. u sore throat stille eat so hot? haha.. im so touched by their concern.. yea right.. anyway, we spent our ill gotten 2 hour break at the student lounge playing pool and using my laptop.. after that we went back for comprog lab, where the whole class was damn high.. we went into classroom 122 at first and mark came in and told us that it was the wrong class.. so we switched over to 121.. after awhile mark told us that it was the wrong class again, so we went back to 122.. after 5 mins, mark told us wrong class AGAIN.. haha end up it was in 121.. for the rest of the class we were uber high.. ye hui kept coming over to my seat to mess around and we were surfing blogs and stuff..

after school i met up with james and headed to return the CDs that i borrowed 4 days previously.. had to pay 1.60 becos overdue.. haha.. after that we went over to A1 to makan.. james thought he'd try the new 'brandy on the rocks' (alchol free) which turned out to taste like cough medicine.. so i *tried* to finish it for him and ended up with a stomach ache becos that drink didnt agree with my durian smoothie..

headed back to school to meet ophix at jupiter cafe for another regular LP session. my first time at jup cafe leh.. so sua ku >_<.. never eat anything but took abit of martin's fries. we hung around for awhile before james and the 3 girls went to watch spidy 3.. so the rest of us went home..

ZEN STONE


Wanna talk about the latest MP3 player from Creative cos i saw a poster about it yesterday when working at CreativeX.. the Zen Stone..

it was created by creative to compete with Apple's iPod shuffle. hence, its small, compact, has no screen, and is UTTERLY USELESS. shuffles are already useless to begin with.. to me, apple made the shuffle for people who cannot afford a nano. lets not talk about the regular iPod or the iPod video as that would be totally out of this league. the shuffle was in my opinion, the most useless product apple ever created. why.. why in all that is holy must creative create something to go against that? have they nothing better to do? they are literally disgracing singapore.. its like showing us to be kiasu (i know we are, but still, why amplify the image?). apple created a useless product already.. why should we follow them and create another 1? creative has always been going strong against apple and we should concentrate on more important products such as products to counter the nano. something small and slim, with flash memory and a full colour screen.


2ndly, the name. ok, i can pass the fact that you are kiasu and want to come up with a product that can counter the useless shuffle.. but why do you have to name it STONE!? people will be like.. oh, ive got a nano. i've got a K5! and you'll be like.. i've got a stone. so let down leh.. what will you refer to when i mention the word stone? something hard, quite heavy and useless. is that what the product is? why name it STONE!?

conclusion? creative is not really as its name suggests.. create something to combat the shuffle, make it bigger than the shuffle, name it STONE, and hope that people will buy one.. the only people who will buy one will be diehard creative supporters, people who love singapore too much, people too poor to buy another MP3, or people who buy it for a laugh and will probably use it as its name suggests, that is to throw it around like a STONE.

P.S. I do not have anything against the other creative products, particulary the Zen Vision M. Nor do i have anything against the other apple products as i own a iPod Nano myself.
