im so tired..

woke up at 12 today and stayed at home for the whole day.. supposed to go bowling with don but safra tamp was having a league.. so my bro and i decided to go cycling..

i am privileged enough to have my home located near to the Tampines mountain bike trial.. i occasionally would cycle over and do the 2.6km route and then cycle back again.. but on this occasion, everything went wrong..

cycled there all right.. got started on the trial all right.. but about a quarter into the trial, there was a sign then read 'CLOSED FOR UPGRADING' followed by another smaller one with the word 'detour' written on it.. the trial was normally about 2 meters wide and covered in stones and pebbles.. but the detour route went right into the jungle.. undaunted, me and bro cycled on.. note that it had just rained that very morning and the ground was wet..

the trail narrowed down and were ranging from 1m to a feet wide.. the stones and pebbles gave way to moist earth riddled with tree roots and rocks.. we continued cycling for about 200 meters and right in front of us, was a HUGE puddle of mud.. i decided that we wont be able to cycle past that as our wheels would just get stuck in the mud.. so we had to get down from the bikes and push them accross.. luckly, i had the sense to wear shoes.. but it made no difference as the water just seeped into the shoe -.-"

after said mud bath, we thought we were clear.. but little did we realise that it was just the beginning.. puddles of mus just kept appearing after each and every turn and soon, i was covered in mud.. my rear wheel axel was cloged full of mud and had trouble rotating and we were stuck right in a jungle trail without anyone around..

we kept going and soon found out that this trail was used for some sort of bike race.. Solomon banners marked with arrows pointed the way out as we trudged on in the mud.. words cannot do justice to what we went through today.. for about 5km, we were sloshing through mud, riding through super rugged terrain about a feet wide and down 45 degree slopes..

finally, after much time, energy and yelling, we saw the end.. we were so happy and we just went straight home with our shoes full of mud both inside and out and our bikes given a coat of mud which had hardened over the journey..

got cleaned and went to safra tampines at about 10 to bowl till 1.30
