exploring the nokia N95

the first thing i did today was to decide to go over to NCC (nokia care center) to get my phone fixed.. the GPS would not work, and worst of all, it does not vibrate.. i mean.. come on.. one of the most basic functions in a phone is vibration.. they stuffed so much into the N95 such as 5MP cam and GPS.. but it wont vibrate.. WTF??

i asked kaiwen out with me to century square's NCC but when i told the handphone shop uncle my plight, he offered to do a 1 to 1 exchange for my faulty set.. so kind of him.. haha.. so i told kaiwen that i'm going over to bugis instead. throughout the train ride to bugis, we were chatting and suddenly, my fone vibrated.. WTF?? NOW THEN VIBRATE!? what a waste of my time and money! but since im already at bugis, i thought i'd just go get my GPS done..

the uncle configured some stuff from my phone and told me that its working now.. so i took his word for it and sure enough, it works.. for 5 second bursts.. whats the fucking point man.. it connects to those pieces of junk orbiting over the earth's atmosphere for 5 seconds, then breaks off.. i dont even have time to program in where i wanted to go! so now the best the "GPS" can do is show me roughly where i am.. and when i say roughly, i mean a 1KM radius.. how 'accurate' is that man..

besides that, there are some other functions in the phone i've discovered today.. for one, the phone has VoIP function.. which means that i can call house phones without having to pay.. and i also installed this program which allows me to chat on MSN and make phone calls through skype and msn and yahoo etc etc..

theres also this function called a barcode scanner.. im like.. wtf? but i thought i'd go try it.. doesnt work though..
